Bumabahang Kaligayahan

It works!!!  It worrkksssss!!!  yessssssssssssssssss!!!!

I don't know if I should feel guilty for being so happy during and after a storm in a country still reeling from the devastating effects of the last typhoon, but I can't help it!  hahaha.

I just passed the trial by fire (well, in this case, trial by rain) of my waterproofing project.  Read the previous blog entry to know what I'm talking about.  *big smile*

Wooooooooooott!!!!  Finally!!!  No more water inside my house.

*sigh of relief*

Blue is the Color of the Day

Some of the very rare moments that I can appreciate how HARD menial labor can be is when I take on DIY (Do It Yourself) jobs at home.  I just finished coating my house's external wall with a waterproofing substrate.

Because of the rains and unending downpour, my walls have bled water like a hemophiliac on blood thinners.  All my furniture are moldy and have started warping, the paint job is ruined, and I'm beginning to fear getting electrocuted one of these days.

So I decided to take on the job of painting a coat of waterproofing on my walls.

Nobody told me waterproofing = tar.
Nobody told me tar is like enamel paint with quick dry cement.
Nobody told me tar multiplied the heat factor from the reflected sunlight on the roof and had a nauseating smell.

You gotta hand it to them blue-collar job workers.  They really have it tough.

Sigh.  Got to find me some rubbing oil to remove these damn tar stains...

Movie Time!!!

Star Trek

Ang gandaaa!!! huhuhu sobrang galing!  Sayang di ko napanuod sa big screen.  It's an interesting deviation from the original series.  I mean, once you open up the world of alternate universes (brought about by changing past events) then you effectively allow the writers to create a whole new Star Trek saga.  One that's more in tune with the tastes of today's generation.

Sana nga lang, di nila binago yung animation ng transporters.  Mas gusto ko yung vertical lines kesa sa pabilog na sabog sabog.

The Proposal

Bagay talaga si Sandra Bullock sa mga ganitong movies.  Whodathunk na pwede din pala si Ryan Reynolds sa chick flicks.  LOL!  Gaganda ng katawan grabe.  When they collided while naked, woooow...bato bato ni Ryan tas fat-free bod ni Sandra.  wooooot!!!

Panalo.

Other Movies worth watching:

I Hate Valentines Day and My Life In Ruins.  Both by Nia Vardalos, yung sa Big Fat Greek Wedding.  Pero pag bobo ka sa english baka di mo ma-appreciate.  Witty kasi ang punchlines.  Not so much visual.

G.I. Joe.  Hanep sa effects.  As good as it can get without alien powers or superhero storylines.  Sarap panuorin habang kumakabog yung subwoofers mo with your surround sound system.
